Trainers Conversion Course (Childhood to Adolescence)
Trainers Conversion Course - An opportunity for existing Thrive Trainers to learn to deliver Practitioner Training to staff working with adolescents - 11-18 year olds.
Extend your training skills to deliver the Thrive Licensed Practitioner Course for staff working with 11-18 year olds. You will cover the developmental strand Interdependence in depth and look at the recycling of Being, Doing and Thinking in later years. Explore the implications for training staff to work with the behaviour patterns that settle at Power and Identity and get played out at Skills and Structure. Learn what happens in the brain at adolescence. Consider alternative training needs, exercises, models and case examples. Discuss with peers some of the issues that arise in secondary school training situations.
Pre-requisite experience: You must be a licensed Lead Trainer and have experience of working with adolescents in secondary schools, youth and community service, or voluntary or statutory settings.
On successful completion of this course you will be able to Lead Train the 10 day Thrive Practitioner course (Adolescent Years).
Notes: Delegates will need to provide their own laptop/tablet.
