As part of the Forging New Connections annual conference series, we are delighted to welcome Mona Delahooke, an internationally renowned clinical and consulting paediatric psychologist from America as a keynote speaker for 2021:
Looking Beyond Behaviours to Support Children's Social and Emotional Development.
Moving beyond paradigms that focus on compliance and surface behaviours, Dr Delahooke’s live webinar will explore a new approach to solving children’s behavioural challenges. It will focus on building a child’s foundation for emotional and behavioural control.
Dr Delahooke will describe behaviours as the tip of the iceberg, important signals that we should address by seeking to understand a child’s individual differences in the overarching context of relational safety.
This session will provide those working with children tools and techniques to reduce behavioural challenges and promote psychological resilience and satisfying, secure relationships.
