A 5 day course for Therapists and Educational Psychologists who have counselling experience within the education sector, but no previous knowledge of the Thrive Approach; a prerequisite for applying for the Thrive Trainers (TTT) Course.
This intensive course is delivered through a combination of online and face-to-face learning where you can expect to be immersed in the Thrive Approach and Thrive-Online. By the end of the course, you will have a full understanding of all that is involved in the Thrive Approach in preparation for applying for the Thrive Trainers Course.
The course will build on your prior knowledge of: • the development and functioning of the brain and nervous system • the principles of attachment theory • key strategies for building supportive relationships • the role of the arts, play and creativity in supporting social and emotional development
You will be introduced to: • the six Thrive developmental strands of social and emotional development • an understanding of how fear, anger, loss, change, separation, bereavement and joy can interrupt learning • instruction and practice in using Thrive-Online to profile the social and emotional development of whole groups as well as individual children in order to identify their underlying emotional needs. Based on this, you will then be introduced to the range of practical strategies and activities that you can use to help them
Open to: Educational psychologists / therapists/ counsellors who are ideally BACP/ UKCP registered, and who have experience of working with children in a therapeutic relationship
Duration: 5 days including 1 pre course e-learning modules and 2 modules to be completed during the evening.
Cost per delegate: £997.00 + VAT
Please note: Delegates will need to provide their own Wi-Fi enabled laptop or Tablet, and it is recommended that they stay on site.

Course Leader for Family Thrive
This is a 3 day intensive course to enable Licensed Practitioners and above to deliver a Family Thrive programme to groups of parents and carers. The course is designed to take your Thrive practice to the next level and enable you to work more closely with parents and carers in your setting. It will equip you to effectively deliver a series of 6 sessions to groups of parents and carers whose children have Thrive support available to them in school, together with a co-professional. Become a Thrive Trainer
We are currently offering a limited number of deferred payment places on the Trainers course for current Thrive Licensed Practitioners and would be interested in hearing from potential delegates.
Deferred payment options are available depending on experience, location and availability.
Minimum of 10 days availability post qualification is required, with the potential to start earning immediately on Lead Trainer Qualification.
