This course will develop and deepen Licensed Practitioners awareness and capacity of working alongside animals and in nature with children and young people.

We will build on your previous knowledge from your Practitioner course, expand on the theory and application of Thrive in natural environments and show how to utilise animals and nature with children with the aim to support developmental interruptions and enhance social and emotional development.

This course will:

• explore the most up-to-date neuroscience and research about what happens in the brain when we connect with animals and nature

• explore and introduce some theory and terminology around Biophilia - a concept supporting the use of animals and nature for good mental health

• explore the essential considerations, including the latest developments in Thrive-Online, around how to incorporate animals and nature into your setting and/or curriculum.

Suitable for: Those working with all age groups

*Open to: Licensed Practitioners or above
