Course overview

Would you like to know more about the changes that happen to a teenagers brain and body that offer those of us working alongside them a fantastic opportunity to support their wellbeing? How can we equip ourselves and colleagues to be the Rock and Resource our teenagers need? Join us in this webinar as we discover more about what there is to celebrate during the time of change and opportunity that is labelled adolescence.

Being a teenager can be one of the most difficult times to navigate as we move into adulthood. We often misunderstand our teenagers and can find ourselves at a loss of how to talk with and help support them through their adolescence. In Thrive we believe that adolescence is a real time of opportunity. If we can offer the right types of support in the right way young people can be guided through this turbulent time of change and supported to share their wonderful unique selves.

This 2-hour webinar will develop licensed practitioners’ capacity to understand the development needs of our adolescents. Helping to understand the How To Be Strategies and the What To Do Activities to support young people to develop their social and emotional learning securely as well as providing useful advice and guidance to deepen understanding.

Where can I find upcoming Thrive training in my area?

All our training is now delivered by our experienced Thrive trainers using a mix of live webinars, e-learning sessions and e-mentoring. On our Thrive courses page you can find dates for courses running throughout the year. We also have a team of regional Relationship Managers who are happy to help – meet the regional team here.

Can I complete Thrive training as an individual or do I need to be part of an organisation?

To become a Thrive Licensed Practitioner you will need to be working with children on a regular basis and be able to carry out Thrive-Online assessments to pass the course. We recommend volunteering at a school if this is not possible in your current role.
