This course will increase Licensed Practitioners' capacity to work with children and young people who bully and intimidate others.

This course was developed from a Thrive early intervention Prevention of Bullying project working with Year 1 and Year 5 and 6 pupils, coordinated by Julia Bird, co-founder of the Thrive Approach.

Building on your previous knowledge from your Practitioner course you will deepen your understanding of the causes of bullying and learn additional strategies for working with children and young people who bully.

This course will:

  • look at the complexity and importance of empathy related to human behaviour that either promotes healthy development or, where it is lacking, leads to victimisation of others, including animals

  • analyse research and learning from the Thrive Prevention of Bullying Project and disseminate the materials used.

Suitable for: Those working with all age groups

Open to: Licensed Practitioners or above

Notes: Delegates will need to provide their own laptop/ Tablet.
