Course Outcomes

Successful completion of this course leads to Thrive Childhood Licensed Practitioner status.

By the end of the training, you will know how to be and what to do in response to children's varying, and often complex, social and emotional needs.

Using your free 3-month trial to Thrive-Online, you'll learn how to assess whole classes and individual children to identify where they are in their social and emotional development, and pinpoint areas where they need extra support. You'll then be able to create and implement targeted action plans from a raft of practical strategies and activities and monitor progress over time.

“I’m able to deal with disruptive behaviour in a positive way and feel more confident guiding colleagues to do the same. Some children who had previously displayed disruptive behaviour have dramatically changed, becoming calm, productive members of their class.”

“The training ignited a renewed passion in me and has helped enormously with my professional development. It truly was a lightbulb moment in my career. The school has transformed, with improved behaviour, attendance, pupil and staff wellbeing, and no exclusions.”

Specific requirements: This is a practical, hands-on course that gives you tools and techniques to put into action along the way. For you to be able to apply the skills you learn, and to be professionally licensed, you will need to be working with children over a period of time. Evidence of this is needed to become qualified. Full attendance is also required to gain Licensed status.

Face-to-face training: For settings that would like to commission a face-to-face training session, there is a flat rate charge of £450 per trainer per day (or part thereof) plus VAT.

Wise Investment Guarantee: If a Licensed Practitioner leaves a setting within 12 months of starting their course, we'll train another member of staff for free within 12 months of the original start date.

Retaining your licence: If you wish to retain your Thrive Licensed Practitioner status beyond year one, you will need to be connected to a setting with a Thrive-Online subscription and complete two CPD courses per annum.

Since using Thrive, attendance has greatly improved, there are less behaviour issues and the children are coming to school willing to learn and a lot happier. I feel a lot calmer too, I can cope with stressful situations better and I love going to work.”
