Overview

Course overview

This course equips delegates with an understanding of how all staff can support young people’s social and emotional wellbeing and development. It provides an introduction to the key theories underpinning the Thrive Approach, as well as opportunities to practise relational skills, learn about the Thrive-Online assessment and action-planning tool and reflect on the right-time needs of all young people, as well as the needs of those who experience difficulties.

The benefits of this training for a school are:

  • Staff are provided with essential knowledge, skills and understanding about the Thrive Approach to enable them to support the social and emotional development of all young people in their setting.
  • It supports the senior leadership team and Thrive Licensed Practitioners with the process of embedding a whole-school approach to Thrive.
  • Staff will gain a greater understanding of young people’s needs and behaviours and some basic tools for supporting them.
  • It ensures there is parity of knowledge about Thrive among staff across the organisation, promoting staff wellbeing and information-sharing.
