Meet the team - Njoki Wamae

Thrive Trainer, Psychotherapist and Associate Lecturer at Open University

Qualifications: BEd
Masters in Counselling Studies

Work Experience: Njoki started her career as a Secondary School teacher in Kenya, before moving in to a role as a Counsellor Trainer and curriculum design. She now enjoys her role as a Psychotherapist and Programme Manager in adult services for a London Charity.

A little more about me: Njoki tells us she struggles with working out left from right and has on multiple occasions enthusiastically gestured left with her right hand and vice versa! She manages this by putting it out there, meaning it's not something she's anxious about. People mostly laugh with Njoki about this and are supportive, whilst sharing their own similar struggles and laughing about them together! Her 10-year old is also her biggest help when she get things all mixed up!
