This course is designed for practitioners working with babies, toddlers and young children in order to to develop a greater understanding of how to support their emotional wellbeing of this age group. It will provide you with a practical knowledge of how to be in a relationship with the children, and how this can help them to build their emotional resilience.
To be recognised as a Thrive Emotional Health Practitioner, you will need to be an authorised user of Thrive-Online, a profiling, measuring and monitoring tool, through a whole-setting subscription.
Building Emotional Health in Early Years is ideal for any practitioner working alongside nursery and pre-school aged children (0 to 5 year olds) in a teaching, healthcare or social care role, who is looking to introduce the Thrive Approach as a whole-setting wellbeing programme for right-time social and emotional development.
Suitable for childminders, nursery assistants, nursery nurses, nursery practitioners, room leaders, team leaders, play leaders, pre-school staff and early years foundation staff. No previous qualifications are required.
If you need to reschedule your course attendance because you have Covid or have to isolate, the first rearrangement is free, a subsequent rearrangement will incur an admin fee of £50 plus VAT and any further rescheduling will be charged at £100 plus VAT.

For settings that would like to commission a face-to-face training session, there is a flat rate charge of £300 per trainer per day (or part thereof) plus VAT.

Successful completion of this course leads to Thrive Emotional Health Practitioner status. By the end of the course you will be equipped with the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to take a practical approach to embedding Thrive in your setting to support the wellbeing of all babies, toddlers and young children. You will be able to use the Thrive Approach as a daily resource to support age-appropriate social and emotional development for every child to improve their learning outcome.
