In today's world, promoting kindness, empathy, and inclusivity is more critical than ever, especially within schools. To tackle the issue of bullying head-on and engage young minds in meaningful conversations, we're excited to launch the "Anti-Bullying Hero Poster Design Challenge". Let's come together to raise awareness, foster creativity, and empower children and young people to be champions against bullying!

Designing a hero to defeat bullying

We're calling on schools far and wide to take part in this inspiring initiative. The challenge is simple yet thought-provoking: encourage your pupils, either individually or in groups of up to 5, to design a poster featuring their very own anti-bullying hero. We want them to think about the qualities and characteristics that a hero would possess to put an end to bullying. Will their hero have colossal feet to stomp out bullying or superhuman hearing powers to listen for unkind words?

Perfect for Anti-Bullying Week

Our challenge could be the perfect classroom activity to do during Anti-Bullying Alliance's Anti-Bullying Week, which is scheduled for the 13th to the 17th of November. It's an excellent opportunity for schools to actively participate in this nationwide event while promoting values that are crucial for a safe and respectful learning environment.

How to enter the challenge

Taking part in this challenge is easy! Simply follow these steps:

  • Encourage your pupils to create their anti-bullying hero posters.
  • Once the posters are ready, take a clear photo or scan of them.

Then, send us the following information via email at socialmedia@thriveapproach.com

  • Name of the pupil(s) who created the poster.
  • The age of the pupils.
  • Name of the school.
  • Name and email address of the teacher overseeing the project.

Prizes

The winning teams, across various educational settings, will receive a £100 voucher for art supplies to benefit their schools. Pupils from Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, Special Schools, and Alternative Provisions will be in for a chance to win!

Please be sure to send in your entries by the 24th of November. We'll be eagerly awaiting your submissions, and the winners will be announced on the 30th of November.

Let's come together as a community to inspire the next generation of change-makers. Together, we can make a difference, starting within our classrooms. Join us in this journey towards a more inclusive, empathetic, and bully-free world.

Together, we can build a brighter future—one poster at a time! 🌟
