What it Measures
The Snapshot shows how your pupils are doing and how your provision is supporting them, side by side - giving you the evidence you need to demonstrate your commitment to wellbeing and inclusion.
It draws on Thrive’s definition of wellbeing, which covers three core areas of social and emotional development:
Social Wellbeing
Pupils’ ability to build positive relationships, feel a sense of belonging, and contribute positively to their community.
Emotional Development
Pupils’ ability to understand, express, and manage their emotions, develop resilience, and cope with challenges.
Motivation and Engagement
Pupils’ curiosity, motivation, and active engagement in learning and social activities.
Together, the 10 questions used in each scan explore these three areas to build a full picture of your school’s wellbeing landscape.

The main dashboard shows your school’s overall Pupil Wellbeing Index and Wellbeing Provision Score side by side - giving senior leaders an instant sense-check of how pupils are doing and how well they’re being supported.

Bar charts display scores by year group, showing the Pupil Wellbeing Index and Wellbeing Provision Score together so you can quickly see where strengths or concerns may sit across the school.
