We have seen first-hand the impact that Thrive has had on children, their families and the staff at our school.”

In many primary schools, the Thrive Licensed Practitioner is someone who works closely with children experiencing barriers to learning.
This often includes:
The practitioner leads targeted Thrive support and helps colleagues understand children’s social and emotional needs.
Ongoing requirement: From the academic year after qualification, Thrive Licensed Practitioners need to complete annual Thrive CPD to maintain their practitioner status.
Some schools also choose to train a senior leader through the Leading Emotionally Healthy Schools course.
Senior leaders help make sure Thrive becomes part of everyday school practice.
This is particularly important for schools that want to strengthen inclusion across the whole school and align Thrive with behaviour, attendance, pastoral, SEND and school improvement priorities.
This training is optional and can be completed at a later stage.
If you're ready to move ahead with becoming a Thrive Primary School through our whole school package, you can book online above.
Wise Investment Guarantee: If the trained practitioner leaves your setting within 12 months of completing their training, we will train another member of staff at no additional cost.
If you'd prefer a conversation to talk it through, book a Discovery call with our team.
Yes. The Thrive Whole School SEMH Approach for Mainstream Primary Schools gives your school a clear route to becoming a Thrive School.
To call your school a Thrive School, you need at least one trained Thrive Licensed Practitioner and an active annual Thrive-Online subscription. This package gives you both, along with implementation support to help you get started.
We also recommend that a senior leader completes Leading Emotionally Healthy Primary Schools training. Once your school has joined Thrive, you can also book whole-school induction or whole-staff training to help embed the approach across everyday practice.

Your school receives Thrive Licensed Practitioner training, Thrive-Online access and implementation support.
Your Licensed Practitioner learns how to assess social and emotional development, provide targeted support and help colleagues respond to behaviour in a more consistent, relational way.
Thrive-Online helps your school assess need, create action plans and track progress across individual children, groups and classes.
We also highly recommend that a senior leader completes Leading Emotionally Healthy Primary Schools training. This helps leaders use Thrive-Online data, review school dashboards and lead the wider implementation of Thrive, from getting staff on board to embedding the approach in behaviour, attendance, inclusion and pastoral policies.
One Thrive Licensed Practitioner is the minimum needed to begin.
Many schools find it helpful to train more than one practitioner, especially if they want to build capacity across year groups, phases or pastoral teams. You can add more practitioners when you purchase by increasing the quantity, or you can train another colleague later.
The training is covered by our Wise Investment Guarantee. If the trained practitioner leaves your setting within 12 months of completing their training, we will train another member of staff at no additional cost.
The Thrive Whole School SEMH Approach for Mainstream Primary Schools includes a one-off Thrive Licensed Practitioner training fee of £1,780 + VAT and an annual Thrive-Online subscription based on the number of pupils on roll.
For mainstream primary schools, Thrive-Online costs £5 per pupil per year, with a 25-pupil minimum. The total first-year cost depends on your school size and selected course start date.
Enter your pupil number and choose your course start date in the pricing section to see your first-year cost and add the package to your basket.
For special schools, Thrive offers a separate package with different pricing.
Schools may choose to use the Inclusive Mainstream Fund for Thrive where it supports their inclusion priorities.
The Thrive Whole School SEMH Approach for Mainstream Primary Schools helps schools understand children’s social and emotional needs, identify barriers to learning, plan targeted SEMH support and track progress over time.
This can support Inclusive Mainstream Fund planning by helping schools strengthen inclusive practice, develop their universal offer and evidence the impact of support for children who need it most.
Funding decisions should always be made in line with your school’s needs, priorities and inclusion strategy.
Read our Inclusive Mainstream Fund guidanceYes. Thrive can support children who are vulnerable, disadvantaged or experiencing barriers to learning, so many schools use pupil premium funding to help implement the approach.
For a 250-pupil primary school, only two pupil premium allocations may be enough to fund the package.
Thrive helps staff understand the needs behind behaviour and respond more consistently across the school.
This strengthens everyday classroom practice, routines, transitions and relationships, helping more children feel safe, included and ready to learn.
Where children need extra help, Thrive supports earlier identification and targeted SEMH support, so needs can be understood and addressed before they escalate.
