As AI becomes part of everyday life for children and young people, its influence extends beyond the classroom. Anthony Magee, Head of Data and Insight at Supporting Education Group, explores what this means for wellbeing, attention and development. Drawing on data, behavioural psychology and cognitive science, he considers how AI can support curiosity and inclusion, and where it may disrupt emotional regulation, relationships and healthy boundaries. The focus is on helping educators respond with intention, ethics and a grounded understanding of how children think, learn and relate.
