Staff explore young people’s needs and behaviour, practise relational skills and learn how Thrive supports a whole-school approach to wellbeing and positive mental health.
Led by a Thrive Licensed Trainer, this one-day course introduces key Thrive theory and gives staff practical ways to use relationships to support young people across the school.
Staff will also look at right-time development, the needs of young people who may be experiencing difficulties, and how Thrive-Online supports assessment and action planning.
For settings new to Thrive, the course includes 30 days’ free access to Thrive-Online from the date of the training day. A software subscription is needed after this period for ongoing access.

This training gives staff a shared understanding of Thrive and how it can be used across school life.

This course is delivered as two 3-hour virtual training sessions on Zoom.
Each session includes teaching from a Thrive Licensed Trainer, practical activities and group discussion. Staff are expected to take part in all activities and discussions.

It is designed for all staff who need a practical introduction to Thrive and their role in supporting a whole-school approach to wellbeing and positive mental health.
“Understanding the science behind how children’s brains work has changed me as a parent and it’s helped me to understand, on a professional level, how many difficulties some children may be facing before they even come into school.”
