It revisits key Thrive theory and helps staff apply it to children’s social and emotional development across your primary school or setting.
Led by a Thrive Licensed Trainer, the session gives staff time to refresh their understanding of the Thrive Approach and apply it to everyday practice.
The session includes core Thrive content, followed by four workshops chosen by your setting, so the training can focus on what is most useful for your staff and children. Compared with the half-day top-up, this full-day option gives staff more time to explore the topics most relevant to your school and young people.

This top-up helps staff revisit Thrive and use a shared approach across your primary school or setting.

This full-day top-up includes two set sections and four workshops chosen by your setting.
The session begins with an introduction, including the course aims and learning outcomes, followed by Thrive Essentials, which revisits underpinning theory.
Your setting then chooses four workshops from the options below:
A. Making Thrive work in unstructured time
B. Developing a whole-school approach
C. Effective ways of communicating with children
D. The Thinking developmental strand, 18 months to 3 years
E. The Power and Identity developmental strand, 3 to 7 years
F. The Skills and Structure developmental strand, 7 to 11 years
After the fourth workshop, there is a final set session to close the session.

It is for staff who have completed a Thrive induction or Staff Training Day and would benefit from a practical refresh.
We have seen first-hand the impact that Thrive has had on children, their families and the staff at our school.”
