Course Outcomes

This training will equip you to lead Thrive’s six-session programme, Family Thrive: Empowering parents and carers, in your setting.

You will gain the skills, language and resources to deliver the programme with confidence and clarity, sharing Thrive’s relational approach in ways that are accessible, engaging and meaningful for parents and carers.

You will learn how to create a warm, inclusive learning space that welcomes parents and carers of children and young people at all stages of development and abilities. The course supports you to meet the varying needs and experiences of families, helping them to feel seen, valued and better able to support their children’s emotional growth.

You will also strengthen your skills in group facilitation, relational delivery and co-regulation, enabling you to lead sessions that build understanding and connection.

Who is it for?

This course is designed for Thrive Licensed Practitioners who want to share Thrive with parents and carers in their setting or service.

It is suitable for those working in schools, early years settings, alternative provision, family support, pastoral care or other roles where connection with families is key. Whether you are a teaching assistant, SENDCO, therapist, family worker or teacher, this course offers a structured and supportive way to extend your Thrive practice and reach more families.

Family Thrive Course Leader is also an ideal stepping stone towards becoming a Thrive Licensed Trainer.

Specific requirements:
You must be a Thrive Licensed Practitioner to enrol. Full attendance at all three sessions is required to be licensed as a Family Thrive Course Leader. This price includes access to the full suite of materials needed to deliver the Family Thrive programme in your setting.

Parents are saying that they have been able to see their child's behaviour through a different lens and be more compassionate and empathic with them as a result of doing the Family Thrive course.”
