Overview

Delivered by Sharon Gray NLE OBE, this webinar reframes attendance and EBSA through a relational, Thrive-informed lens.

t explores how feelings of safety influence a child’s ability to attend school and highlights why tracking absence in days, not percentages, enables earlier identification, more meaningful conversations and more timely support.

With a focus on immediate application, the session reconnects the neuroscience of stress, the polyvagal lens and the Five Domains of Safety with the Thrive Approach. Using national data, recent EEF research, experiential activities and the “Meet Mia” case study, you’ll explore practical ways to support families, map roles across the whole system and build the relationships that help every child feel safe enough to attend and thrive.
