managing big worries CPD

Overview

Young children commonly experience fears and worries as part of their development, but these can sometimes impact their behaviour, emotional wellbeing and ability to learn.

This session explores the nature of anxiety in early childhood and how it may present in different ways within a setting.

Drawing on neuroscience and current research, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of your role as a ‘buffer’ - supporting children to process and regulate their emotions. The session focuses on practical, relational strategies to help children recognise, understand and manage their worries, building resilience and emotional security.

The session contributes towards maintaining your Thrive Licensed Practitioner status.
