Grounded in neuroscience and child development, it helps you understand how anxiety presents, and provides practical strategies to help children recognise, manage and regulate their emotions so they feel safe, supported and ready to learn.
This session explores the nature of anxiety in early childhood and how it may present in different ways within a setting.
Drawing on neuroscience and current research, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of your role as a ‘buffer’ - supporting children to process and regulate their emotions. The session focuses on practical, relational strategies to help children recognise, understand and manage their worries, building resilience and emotional security.
The session contributes towards maintaining your Thrive Licensed Practitioner status.
