Our next book club read: My Life After Trauma Handbook

The next Thrive book club will be held on March 18 at 3.30pm and will feature authors and clinical psychologists Sue Knowles and Bridie Gallagher discussing the My Life After Trauma Handbook.

The session will see Bridie and Sue in conversation with Thrive’s Viv Trask-Hall, exploring what trauma is, the effect it can have on physical and mental health, and coping strategies that can help. There will also be a chance to ask questions.

Published by Jessica Kingsley Publishing, the book has been co-written with two young people, Reggie and Jade, who share their stories to show readers that they are not alone and that there is always hope. The two elements of the narrative weave together to form a powerful combination of professional expertise and insight and lived experience that is designed to be accessible to all and to be picked up and put down at different life stages.

To sign up to the 45-minute session click here. For a 20 per cent discount on the cost of the book, enter LIFE20 at the checkout when buying from Jessica Kingsley Publishers.
