Across the UK, thousands of schools use Thrive to better understand and support children and young people. Some take this further, working towards clear milestones and demonstrating how Thrive is being embedded effectively across their setting.
The Thrive Ambassador and School of Excellence recognition exists to acknowledge that work.
The Thrive Ambassador recognition reflects the work schools put in to embed the approach in practice and the difference this makes for children and young people.
Schools work towards clear criteria, using reflection, evidence and review to show how Thrive is being applied consistently and with impact.
Each area reflects a different way Thrive can be embedded, from leadership through to day-to-day practice.
As schools progress, they receive digital badges to recognise their achievement. These can be shared across websites and communications.

It’s awarded to schools that have achieved Ambassador status across all five areas, showing a whole-school commitment to emotional wellbeing, relationships and inclusion.
These schools show sustained, consistent practice over time, embedding Thrive across their culture and creating environments where children and young people feel safe, understood and ready to learn.

This whole-school approach has been recognised by Ofsted, with Outstanding ratings for personal development, behaviour and welfare.
